Colorado River waterfront houses for rent: Are there any for me?

Does anyone know where a large family can rent a nice beach house on the Colorado River where you can leave your boat in the water overnight? Preferably not Lake Havasu, but anywhere from Fort Mojave/Needles down through Parker? There's so many different resorts and rental properties that it's hard to narrow them down. I've stayed in Needles, at Lake Havasu, and at the Parker Strip, and the one thing I enjoy the most is leaving the boat in the water all weekend. It's also a bonus having a beach area where the kids can play without having to jump in the boat and look for a beach. The beach-front resorts I've seen typically are campsites for RVs. I don't want to spend a fortune, but I would like to bring the extended family along once in a while for a river trip. I know that in Needles there are a lot of properties, but I think the river gets a little shallow as you head towards Bullhead City (afraid to hit bottom). Any tips are much appreciated!
