Common ground across starting and house circuits?

Should I install a ground wire across the negative terminals of my separate starting and house batteries? I think I need it to install a battery switch.<br /><br />I plan to install this Blue Sea battery switch that will let me connect my house battery to my starting circuit in the event my starting battery fails. It also lets me completely shut off both circuits when not on the water. <br /><br />E-Series Battery Switch Dual Circuit Plus™<br />PN: 5511e<br />

Without the grounds connected you won't be able to complete a circuit.
