Other than a spare prop, what other parts would you recomend keeping on hand as spares due to ware and tear on these little motors ? I know they're pretty tough and well built but, I always like to think ahead and have spare parts before I need them. So what's likely to ware out first or is prone to damage.-Thanks

1956 Evinrude Lightwin 3 hp , 3018. It's a little beat up on the outside but almost like new inside. I hope to pass it on to my kids some day.

Cool, I have a 58. One thing I would do is check the condition of the coils. On this motor, all you have to do is pull the hand starter assembly. Your flywheel should have two nice big holes to get visuals.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get an extra carb kit too.:D

Already put new coils and cond. on it, plus new impeller, and rebuilt carb. Runs like a top :D The best $75 I ever spent.
