comparing O/B to I/O to match performance

Im just curious, is there a guideline/comparison to what hp o/b would be needed to match the performance of a specific i/o boat or vice-versa?..also taking into account that the i/o may be slighty heavier.
For example, for the same given boat, a 120hp ob is equivalent in performance to a 3.0 I/O or a 150 ob would be comparable in performance to a 4.3 i/o etc etc. I'm not talking hp to prop, but rather overall performance of the boat. I mean there are plenty of boats out there which are offered in i/o or o/b. i would think they have some kind of guidelines to follow when installing a powerplant in a boat that intended to have similiar performance.
just curious what you guys think

It's apples and oranges. The I/O outweighs the OB over 2:1 and most I/O's have seats next to the engine that folks just love to occupy.....so there is another 300-400# just where you need it least. No comparison
