I have a 1968 19' Johnson Surfer It needs new stringers I am trying to
figure out how to use composite stringers instead of wood but I have
no idea how to mount the motor to the composite stringers after there in.
The motor is a Buick 300 it has a dry weight of approximately 700lbs and
mounts to the stringers with 8 bolts 4 at each corner here are some
pictures.

Also Sasto recommended Corecell S-foam any Idea where I can get this
stuff and how much it costs?

Re: composite Stringers???

Nida-Core makes a great product.. I prefer the honeycomb. I wish I could remember the lower cost honeycomb we used for some time with good results. Wescor...or something like that. Good website, Woodonglass! Where to buy? Sorry...can't help.
