Compression on 89 Suzuki 140 HP

I'm thinking of buying an 89 Suzuki 140 hp with a jet that was completely rebuilt 6 years ago. What would be the proper range for pounds of compression in the cylinders. Thanks,Mark

I'm sure 135 compression is the # for a new or refurbished OB with all cylinders being within 5-8% of each cyl.

My 140 cyl. are 134 +- 3#

My 115 (same block,bore etc.) are about 110 +-per cyl....runs fine.


You dont want a cyl/s extremely lower than the others
