I did a compression test on my 1999 120. I couldn't find what the compresion should be in SELOC, but for some reason i have 140 in my head. Anyway how long should the cylinders hold pressure? a few of my cylinders lost pressure pretty fast once i stopped cranking. They all registered about 150. I didn't have the motor warmed up, but it was running just a few days ago. Should i be worried about a leak?

Re: Compression Test. 1999 120

When new, the compression was 135-150 on cylinders #1 and #4.

It was possibly a little higher, 145-160, on cylinders #2 and #3.

If you are getting 150 on all, you are good.

It is going to lose pressure very quickly, since the exhaust or intake port will be open.

Thank you very much Sir. A guy can have everything he needs as far as a manual, and tools, but you can't buy experience. That's the immeasurable resource that we have thanks to you folks at iboats. I for one really appreciate it.
