compression test ('77 1150)

Is it a waste of time to perform a compression test on a 'fogged' engine. I'm not looking for high accuracy, just a sanity check before I put time and money nito rebuilding the lower unit of a '77 1150

Well...you have little to loose. I suppose that the fogging oil might raise the numbers a bit...but since it's mostly the variance between cylinders that you are most interested in...it would still be a valuable exercise.

You want it warm and you DON'T want fogging oil in the cylinders.
