Compression test with carb removed; stopping gas from being pumped out line.

I am about to do a compression test on my Volvo 3 liter. The engine has the manifold and carb off of it. I'm assuming that the fuel pump is going to be pumping fuel out of the fuel line when I turn the engine over for the test. Any advice on how to deal with this?

hook a fuel hose on the end of the tube and pump it back into a portable fuel tank.

Ayuh,... Disconnect the fuel tank from the fuel pump,...

Yeah...take the hose off the fuel pump or filter inlet.
