Ok how do you guys ground out your Plug wires? Do you use jumper cables or just regular wire? Is it even necessary to ground the plug wires? Just wanted to get some ideas, I have heard horror stories about ruining your ignition system during compression checks. Thanks for the help guys.

The easiest way is to flip the kill switch.

Keep the plug connected to the high tension lead and use an aligator clip to ground the center contact to the shell. This can be done on both surface fire and traditional plugs. Aligator clips are available at Radio Shack for a few bucks.

Leave the ignition off and jump a remote starter switch on the solenoid.
