Motor in signature. As part of troubleshooting for water intrusion into the port bank cylinders, I'd like to do a compression test. The Top Secret file says to warm up the engine first. However, I'd like to do this cold if possible. That's because if the water is coming from a leaking exhaust cover gasket, I don't want to shoot a fresh spray of water into the cylinders and internals during engine warm up.
Will I get any useful information if I run the compression test on a cold engine?
