Compression testing of PowerHead on Bench?

Am I able to spin my 115 powerhead on my workbench safely, to test compression? Once my rings arrive, I'll finish putting this together. I usually mount it up to the rest of the leg (but all that is outside in the cold) to properly test. I thought if I just put the starter and selenoid on, I could jump it just for compression testing...But again, never tried it. Would be handy in case something is awry.

Easy, you do not even have to put the intake manifold and carburetors on.

Make sure it has some lubrication.

ok, no need to put intake or carbs on...Just be able to spin it with a light lube in cyls. GOT IT. Thanks.
