what is the compression on a 200 hp 1988 johnson gt .. stock compression i'm stock with alots of detonation .i try to figure if someone shave the heads

Compression is different on any engine out there. You have to check that yourself. Auto Zone and Oreily's both sell a cheap compression test kit for $20. Just make sure the adapter that comes with the unit is the right size for your spark plug hole.

yeah i know its gonna be different from one engine to a another one ...but i try to find the one for that engine to see if someone shaved the head on it...to see if i have the original squish and original compression that engine make alots of detonation so i'm sure someone did something to this heads
