Howdy Boatright.

A 19" prop should solve your under-propped problem.

Don't have personal experience with ComProp, but the reports I have heard are that they perform well but are junk if they hit a rock.

The price is certainly attractive. I would be inclined to run a SS and keep a Comprop as a spare.

Red sky at night. . .
JB :)

I had a CompProp for a while on my 87 bassboat. It worked well until it hit some rocks and my co-owner (friend) hit some mud and about toasted the prop. We saved it as a spare only. Leading edges were very rough, and with composite that can cause it to flake off sometimes. Worth the $$ as a spare though.

I really like these props for the price and performance. Of course I rarely get into rock or mud situations at speeds which would hurt them. The idea is that if you experience a high speed prop strike, they will shear off and not damage your prop shaft. They are light weight and priced like aluminum but perform much like SS. For beter prices that Bass Pro, check out www.midwestpropeller.com. They have great service and their prices are wonderful...very knowledgable staff.

Jim
