Computer guys...help with Outlook required

Ok
Somehow I managed to delete, move or hide the 'subject' field (or column) in my Outlook's inbox. :redface: So now I have to rely on the 'received' field to get by with...not counting the other little ones.
Does anybody have any ideas or experience on how to get it back or where to look for it?

It would helps a lot if you could include a screen shot of what you got. Are you using regular office outlook or outlook express?

Some applications let you decide which columns appear. Usually it's a list of column names with check boxes beside them. You check the columns you want and uncheck the ones you don't. I'm not sure if Outlook has this feature. I would be surprised if the OP accidentally lost a column in this manner.

A more common cause of this problem is simply resizing a column so small that it disappears. If that's the case, here's how you find it...

Between each column header button is a small vertical line. This is where you grab it to resize it. Move your mouse pointer very slowly over each vertical like. When the mouse is in the right place to resize the column the mouse cursor changes. If there is a column hidden between two column the mouse cursor will change to something different. To be clear, that's 3 different mouse pointers. 1) The normal pointer. 2) The one for resizing columns. 3) The one indicating a hidden column. 2 and 3 look very similar. It's very important to move the mouse very slowly to "catch" it.

Right click the bar above the fields and check the ones you want showing.

Yes.
In the task bar, click "View", then "Current view: , then "Customise current view", then "Fields"....then just add in what you need, and apply and close.
