Computer / Ipod Questions

My computer is set up with what I think is called a "compartmentalized" hard drive, meaning that some of the hard drive is known as the C: drive and the larger part is known as the D: drive - but if I understand correctly it's all the same hard drive.

I see that the C: drive is nearly full, no doubt as a result of the storage of my wife's Ipod library.

How do I go about moving those files to the D: drive AND getting the Ipod program to know where they went WITHOUT LOSING ANYTHING??? I know just enough about this to be dangerous.

Thanks in advance.

Your hard drive is partitioned into 2 drives.
You can just cut and paste the folder from the C drive to the D drive
In itunes click edit>preferences> advanced. There you can set the path to the new location, ie. d:\itunes

You make it sound so easy (it is I'm sure, I'm just paranoid about losing all the files etc. so playing around isn't an option). Thanks for the response.

If your that worried, COPY them to the D drive, try it out and then delete the files from the C drive.

There you go - that's just what I needed.

Thanks again.
