Computer problems

Hi people! I have had a strange thing happen to me today(at least strange to me). In OE, I cannot delete messages in my inbox,sent files or deleted items. I restarted my computer thinking this would help but it didn't. I haven't any virus that I know of. Run adware and spybot all the time and have a good virus program. My system is Windows 98 2nd edition. Have you any suggestions that I could try to fix this problem?

Do it in safe mode F8 key click on outlook there and try deleteing or change to last best known configuiration'''edit" click on item you want to delete then click on edit[top of page left] scroll to delete click this doesn'twork try first of this reply

Did both of the suggestions dolluper but they didn't work. Even ran a system search for bad files and nothing. Had to take it to my computer"fix it up guy" and after a bit of checking, found out it was a corrupt inbox on OE. It wasn't caused by a virus or anything like that. He said it was just one of those computer things. Tks for the help though. It was appreciated.
