computer sleep mode

my computer use to after 10 or 20 minutes go into a "sleep mode" until I moved the mouse. Now it doesn't do it any more and I was wondering if someone knows how to fix this to make it go asleep again after the screen saver finishes(5 minutes). Haven't had anything done to my computer and I am running XP home. Ty in advance for any help

Click "start", "control panel", double cllick "display". Select "screen saver" tab. At the bottom of that tab you should see a button labeled "Power" (above the "apply" and "cancel") Click "Power". Set it up to do what you want with the drop-down lists.

A lot of times something after different things are installed something keeps it from being able to sleep


You can check buy trying "START/turn off computer/stand by"

If something is stoping it, it will generaly ID the item

My computer does not like to have the modem enabled for who knows why
