Hello Everyone...

I just purchased this boat and trying to fix some small problems... The remote control is a single control with only the tilt switch, throttle and shift.

The control was working, but was really loose and kind'a flopped around. So I decided to remove the control, find the correct screws to reinstall.

I saw that the grease/lube inside the case was dried up... So I opened the case and removed the levers and spring and gave them all a good cleaning.

What would be the best lube/grease to use to keep everything moving freely?

Thanks for your assistance

I used the same grease I do on the bearings but really anything is better than nothing.

Re: Concealed Remote Control OMC

finally broke down...took the thing apart... The old grease that was in in was just about dried up.

Cafefully took everything apart... Cleaned everything... as lightly coated all the moving parts with the bearing grease that I use on the trailer bearings...

And it works great! Had to do a little grinding inside the case that had a rough edge...But it works great!

Very little effort in moving the control handle.... Now that I bought a spare controller...that I no longer need is the only thing that I am upset about... But you live and learn

Thanks
Jim
