i have a 1960 glasspar that needs a floor and transom. the guy who i got it from told me i had to use treated wood as long as i let it dry. so i bought it and its drying flat i my second bedroom. i was searching the internet last night and came accross this site www.capndsboatshed.com they say never to use treated wood because its already been saturated and the resin will not soak into the wood. they recomend to always use regular plywood.i dont know if i sould return my wood or not. i want to do this right the first time.thanks for all the help.

Re: confused about wood

hello. thanks alot for that very informative site. so, if i get this right, its ok to use treated plywood as long as it is dried. i got it at the home depot. they did not have much o a selection, two stacks of treated plywood. so i bought them. i also got the srtinger wood treated. now i'm not sure how long to dry them. i assume three weeks in an airconditioned room sould be fine. any thought on this? has anyone done a floor and transom on a glasspar? thanks for all the helpe and please keep the info coming.
