Alright guys i am in the process of restoring a old bass boat and am currently working on trying to connect the bilge pump to a console switch. i understand the diagram that comes with the instructions and other ones i have found on the internet but none of them actually explain how to connect the wires to the switch, by the way it is only a 2 way stitch. Im pretty sure that it so simple that its not even really stated on my instructions but i am new to all of this and cannot figure it out. Thanks

ps once i can figure out how to connect it to the switch and make sure everything works then i will go back and run it through the fuse box

so simple even a caveman can do it ;) just kidding...

just delete the float switch wires if your going that route.

your pump should have either a red or a brown wire and a black wire.. the black is negative.

alright i do have some of those, so i will put those on the end of the wire... now the last thing i am yet to understand (and i know i have to be driving you crazy)
is what goes on each male prong. Do i take the Brown wire (+) and splice it onto both prongs?

brown (positive) from pump to switch..........whatever color wire you have from switch to power source with a fuse.

your restoring a boat???? sorry :/

ok take the brown from the pump, may need to add an additional length of wire to fully reach the switch.....connect that to one prong. connect another wire to the other prong and run that to wherever you are getting the power from... fuse box, battery , whatever. doesnt matter which terminal for which wire since its a single pole switch....im assuming its a rocker switch?.

make sure you heatshrink or seal up all the connections so you dont have to do it again anytime soon.
