I have a 90 hp mercury off a 2002 bass tracker pro 185. Long story short I'm rebuilding the engine and I have never done this before. Anyway I bought a used connecting rod off eBay. The original connecting rod says AT 646-818846 and on the other side of the rod it has the number 89. The one I bought on eBay has AL 646-818846 and on the other side it has the number 72.
Second issue one of the rod to crank needle bearings got put with the wrong cylinder. I have no idea how this happened, im suspect of my youngest son although he denies touching it. Do they just sell the needle bearings without the cage. I cant seem to find them and the bearing and cage set are 180 dollars for the set. The serial number for my engine is OT481533.
