I have some connectors/plugs apart on my motor, and I was wondering if it might be a good idea to give them a shot of that aerosol can spray cleaner?
If yes, any recommendations, like a silicone based one?

Thanks

Just use contact cleaner that you can pick up at any auto parts store, I normally use dieletric grease on mine when I put them back together.

You can also burnish the contacts by simply connecting, disconnecting, and reconnecting those plugs several times.

If your brass connectors are seriously corroded, you can mix up some vinegar and table salt and put them into the solution for a few minutes and they will be totally cleaned again. Then dip them into a solution of baking soda and water to neutralize the vinegar and salt and rinse them off with plenty of tap water and dry. Amazing how fast that cleans brass connectors... JMHO!
