Now we cannot get gas to come through the pressurized tank even though we thought we rebuilt it properly. It holds pressure just no gas comes through the end fitting. We did replace the rubber orings in the fitting which was quite difficult and I am thinking we put them to far down in the fitting. It seeemed like they went down into a groove and they stayed there but the little metal plunger things in the fitting never came back even with the top. Does anyone know about these or understand what I am explaining? If so could this be the problem?

take the end off, and connect the gas line to the carb, and the air line to the air fitting, on the block. you can run it as a direct connection. just have to take boat to fill up thank. this will get you on the water.

Re: connector for pressurized tank

There are two check valves in the tank. I'll betcha one of them isn't working. One is the obvious little 3/8" disc, and the other one is built into the fuel standpipe, above the screen. You should be able to suck air through that pipe, but not blow back down through it. That's where the problem is, isn't it?

The other common goof-up is getting the fuel/air hoses swapped.

EDIT: You used aftrmarket or hardware store o-rings, didn't you? The correct ones are special size, part number 301824, as far as I know only available through dealers.
