I am attempting to rebuild my Evinrude 70HP 1977 model. The crank is stuffed since it has pitting on the main journals. They rods look fine at the wrist pin end. I would welcome some advice on the attached photo of the big end of the rod. The surface is totally smooth except for a very minor pit at the top right hand side (the shiny dot) which is out side of the roller bearing path. The photo isn't great but bearing pth is not burnt or pitted, just discoloured from years of running. Are these ok to re-use?
Thanks in advance

Re: Conrod Condition

I wouldn't hesitate. Use it.
