I am considering another project, and I'd like some advice.

Found another C/l special.

16' Thundercraft Capri. It looks like a really nice boat from the Pics posted online.

Seller says upholstery in good shape, new Bimini top two years ago, new wheels and tires on the galvanized trailer. The gel coat is shiny and the boat has been all garage kept. Seller claims it has a great running 85 hp evinrude on the back.

Now the reason it is a C/l special, it has a 12" long split right on the bottom of the hull. It looks like it is just at the bottom of the keel.

It looks as if it might be a good candidate for a restoration. Looks like the split is about 12 inches long by about 1/2" wide. I am posting from work so I can't post a hotlink to C/l

Im curious how a fiberglass got a 12" split on the hull... rocks?

I would love to help ya Sig.... but advice from a rookie like me is equivalent to fartin in the wind.....it always seems like a good idea at first... but always stinks in the end.

I got a chuckle out of my own post so much.. im gonna make it my ..signature line ...lol
