I just purchased my 180FS Monterey Today on the way to sea trial a Sting Ray 185LS. We never made it to the Sting Ray dealer. Yes the Sting Ray was $2k cheaper, but you get what you pay for and the Monterey dealer had an 08 Sting Ray on trade to compare apples to apples. I 180FS is far more refined, deeper hull and wider. Both had the same Volvo 3.0, but I never looked back. We also completed sea trials on a 18' Q4 SS Tahoe and the 175 SPT Sea Ray. We can't wait to pick it up in a couple of days. Good Luck!
