Looking for the standard warnings, tips, advice. I'm a sailor/houseboater, so really just looking for things specific to this model.
Is there a year that is better than the 1990? Not sure when engines/drives changed....but that's about the year of boat I can afford.

Thanks for your help gang!!

Re: Considering Purchase of '90 2755 Cierra Sunbridge

not sure how old this post is

I have a 93 2755 and I absolutly love this boat.

Mine has a 454 mercrusier w/ bravo one drive. The only thing I neded to do when I bought my boat was some rutine maintnace for a boat this old. I neded to replace the transom seal and the stearing pin seal as they were wore out and leaking water. I just replaced the head with a new JASCO manual head as new toilet is basicly the same as the old although the pump has been redesigned. mine just broke last weekend.

Overall the 2755 is a great model has lots of features found on more expensive models. Its very simalar to the 09 285 cruiser. It has all the same featrures! The aft cabin on the 2755 is a full queen size bed most new boats are not comming with full queen size beds any more!
The 2755 was first introduced in 89 and was sold through 93. Mine was one of the last ones made as it was made in 93. From all the 2755's the niceest ones were made in 93. They used more nutral colors and the cabinet in the galley was bigger with more storage. When people see my boat they cant beleive its a 93 as they thinks its much newer.
bayliner was using OMC on some of the pre 93's so you may want to concider the motor when you buy your boat. OMC parts are hard to come by so if you get one with a MERCRUISER then you'll be better off. Depending on the motor you may be able to check the hours as my 7.4 is equipt with an hour meter mounted behind the engine at the transom. Im not sure when the engines from OMC to Merc were used.

I think if the 2755 you are looking at is in good condition and turns outot be a good boat you will wind up being really happy with it. As far as how it handels its very easy to dock and handles nicely in rough water.

I cant say anything bad about this model I love mine and I use it quite a bit!
