HI again...
Same engine ficth 90 2001 , have cleared all the fault codes so system is now showing everything healthy , the problem i have is a constant beep coming from the sounder as soon as the key is turned , no lights on the check gauge are lighting up and i have no fault codes ??? when i first turn on it does the standard chirp and system check over the constant beep . but the beep doesnt clear , it also sounds quieter than the check beep? it is a new check gauge do you think it could be faulty.

The sercvie mode is showing 1 1 so everything good

thanks in advance

It Could Be The Gauge Turn The Key On Wait For The Alarm Unplug The Gauge If It Stops It Could Be The Gauge... If Not The Horn It Self Can Go Bad... Also Try Upluging The Oil Tank ... (to Loose The Horn)

Re: Constant alarm no fault codes

I am really not a good source of info on the newer motors, but am wondering if you could have a short to ground somewhere. Many horns sound when the applicable condition causes the horn circuit to ground. This is sometimes caused by a wire than has been pinched by something and has a break in the insulation.

Hi ..
Thanks for the replies , yes the sounder stops if the gauge is unplugged , i will have a check of the ground wire to make sure it is not leaking somewhere , i am lead to believe that the gauge drives the sounder according to any alarm conditions the emm or sensors send to it.
