I am pretty new here and have read quite a bit. My son and I are redoing my old Bass Tracker Tournament 17 and I have read that several of you use some kind of contact cement on the carpet on the backs and underside of hatches and on the cutouts for them to hold things in place while the carpet glue dries. What exactly do you use. I have a can of 3M spray glue 777 I think it is. Is that what you use or something else entirely? We may get to start putting in carpet in the next week or two so I would really appreciate any info. Thanks in advance and this is a great and informative site.

I used 3M super 90, you can't beat it. No carpet glue mess, just spray both sides and lay it down. You can pick it up at home depot. Just make sure the surfaces are clean.
