Control box for 1958 Evinrude

I am looking for a newer control box for my 1958 evinrude 35 hp Lark. It currently has the two handle type. I found a part # 377500 on ebay. The part has # 305965 & 377522 stamped on the aluminum casing. It is item #4500587489 on ebay. Can anyone tell me if this would work with my motor?

Hi Tom,<br /> A later style single lever control might work - I think the throws are the same or pretty close. You might have to doctor up the cables a bit to get them to fit. , and the cable ends will need to be replaced with old-style ends to fit the 35. The electrical will not work, though, without a fair amount of rewiring and such.<br />- Scott
