Hello Captains, Have a 1987 Johnson 140 vro with a high idle lever. When idle lever placed in high position seems to have alot of slop till about the last half inch or so, when placed down continues to idle high. Not to mention the clunk when shifted, the throttle is harder to move than I think it should. when shifted into neutral from foreward have to apply too much pressure ( sometimes going right into reverse) Sound like this is simply wore out or are there adjustments inside the box? Had the box apart (like a clam shell) couple yrs ago for replacement of vro horn.. All put back together properly. Any thoughts appreciated. Going to try the wd 40 first before I take it apart,
