Was cleaning out the rotten wood from my transom and cut through some slack wiring (didn't see the wires tucked down below the rotten wood in the transom). Realized it was the black wire holding a bunch of other wires inside that run to the plug on my johnson. Traced it back and its the ignition/power supply wire. Has something like 6 or 7 little wires inside that are all chewed up.
My question is... Can I just splice and sauter these wires back together and expect it to be just fine. Or could this be a complete disaster and I need to rewire?
