I recently bought new controls for my 93 procraft bass boat. The old control base is square therefore the mounting base isn't much bigger than controls. The new control is more oval and larger than the old. Looks to me like I should build out the old location. Should I try to make a new bracket out of aluminum or wood and fiberglass. I woulld like for this to look as factory as possible

Re: Control location

You could, make a mounting board out of wood, the fiberglass over it. Maybe some thin polished aluminum strips around it to make it look good :D?
