My 1985 Skeeter was left for dead and/or to die. No motor, electronics, trolling motor etc. Rebuilding is on-going. I bought an older Chrysler open bow boat (60's) with a 1985 Merc 75hp with 200 hours on it. The motor is in great condition and propelled the Chrysler to approx. 40 mph on the lake. It has the controls and the steering cable/helm. The steering cable is too long so replacement is needed, and I have to change the helm since the boat originally had dual cables to the 150. The control module for the 75 hp has a key for starting, choke etc. etc. The original control module is also there on the Skeeter, but wonder to the adaptability to the 75 hp Merc.? The key (ignition switch) is on the console of the Skeeter, but I think it is junk. There is a pin connector on the skeeter (aft), but didn't notice a receptacle on the 75 hp. Is there one? Can I wire in the gauge panel from the control module of the 75? Help if you can. thanks, Mike
