I was wondering if anyone can answer the following. I have an 89 Rude 150. The binnacle control is really in bad shape...left half of cover broken off and handle cover missing. I can't afford $400 for a new one. I have seen a few on ebay but they don't look exactly like mine. The part number is 176372 on ebay. This is what the seller states, "work on any 1996 and newer motor as well as any mechanical shift Johnson/Evinrude outboard (big red plug wire harness) with the use of a 176711 adapter wire harness". There is also a control with part number 176371. Neither looks like the one I have. Mine has more below the console. It is longer and shaped more like a triangle. Does anyone know if the Part 176372 will work. Will I need the adapter? <br />This is what mine looks like:<br />
