Most any Mercury control will work for throttle and shift cables. The electrical connections are the same, but the form of the electrical connections and wire colors have changed. A control from late 60s to late 70's will fit, as it will have that quick-disconnect plug on the starboard side of the motor. Newer controls would need to be grafted to connect to the motor.
