Conversion to analog gauges

I have a 1998 Yamaha S150TXRW. I currently have the multifunction Tach and speedo. The tach is no longer visible and wish to replace both the tach and speedo with Teleflex Lido analog gauges-tach, speedo, trim, volt, water temp, and hours meter. I am designing a new dash from www.frontpanelexpress.com Cool site with free download of CAD program.

Is there a wiring diagram to help convert from digital wiring harness to make connections to analog gauges?

I do not see any fuse protection on the current digital gauges. Should I protect the analog gauges with a fuse and what amperage of fuse?

I plan to daisy chain the analog gauges together for lights to Nav light switch and daisy chain ignition power and ground connected to current wires in harness.

Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

Re: Conversion to analog gauges

I ran a 93 200txrr on analog. The trim will not work because of the resistance Yamaha uses, but if you turn around and look you can see where you are trimmed. I ran a Faria Tach, Speedo, volt, temp and fuel gauges. for temp I added a temp sensor that was compatable with analog gauges. Just mounted it touching to the head. The speedo I ran with the water pickup tube off the foot. I used a seloc manual and google image searched for the wiring diagrams. was quite simple after studying the diagram. It can be done! Remember on the analog tach to put it on outboard setting not 6 cyl or 4 cyl ( whichever applies)
