Was wondering if the electric start flywheel for a 2000 Johnson 9.9/15hp motor will work with the stock coils on a rope start model? Aside from the teeth, the flywheels look identical (0584583 vs 0584584). The coils on the electric start model are different from the rope model.
I'd like to simply add the flywheel, a starter motor and solenoid, and a start button to my motor and skip the electrical charge circuit.
