I have a 3.5B model with a F-N gear shift but the motor is frozen (uh, don't ask me how). I also recently acquired a 3.5A model with direct drive which runs. They are similar vintage. It would be great if I could put the F-N gear shift leg on the running engine. Before I attempt this, I thought I should ask if swapping the legs is an easy process, a pipe dream, or somewhere in between.
