Convert RDS-24M to RDSL-24M

Well I purchased a 1962 Johnson RDS-24M motor for a classic boat project. Turns out I needed a long shaft not a short shaft. So, time to convert. According to the manual you need a 378990 kit. So off to eBay to find it. Also started taking the motor apart.

I did the reverse last year with a '62 Lark 40.

Well I found the complete kit on eBay. Should be here next week. In the mean time I have removed the power unit and am in the process of cleaning all the exterior covers, etc to get them ready for paint.
