Converting Back

Hi everyone,

I have a 1984 Evinrude 15hp o/b on the back of an Aqualark Hugger. My friend wants to buy the boat separate from the engine, and I was wondering if you could put the throttle and steering arm back on one of these outboards so I could put it on my tinny?

Well, i have got a friend who is a marine mechanics magician, so i'm sure he could help me out.

Do the parts have to come off the exact same engine? (same model and year, I mean)

A lot of the same parts are used by different engines.

The gear design didn't really change from 76 until mid 86 so plenty of choices on putting it back.
