Hi all.
I am working on my jon boat right now. It is a larger one (18'), and I am putting in a new floor. I wasted my money on the "Hydrilla Gorilla" instructions ($19)that someone on here pointed me to, but really they had no valuable information.
So right now I am painting but next I plan to do the interior. It is an older aluma/weld boat. The console is in the back right side of the boat. I want to go with a center console. I am sure I have enough throttle and shifter cable to do this, but what do I do with steering?
Is there a special cable that I need? I mean I may leave the console where it is, but when the bow is up I can't see a thing in front of me, and its in a spot thats hard to stand up and drive at.
I will have a plywood floor to mount the console to. I was just wondering if anyone here has put a bay boat or a custom console in a boat. I figure almost any console will work. Just need to find one for a good price (any suggestions?)
I am taking pictures of my project and hope to post more pictures soon.
