Converting Johnson 9.9 to Remote Control

Hi,

I am building a Minimost. I plan to use a 1978 9.9. If I get an OMC Shipnmaster 2 levers control box is there some kit I can use to attach the cables to the engine. It is currently a tiller control engine. I'm willing to build some kind of custom bracket if need be but I'd like to get an idea what it would look like. If there's a kit avaialble that would be even better.

There is/was a kit. See a Johnson or Evinrude dealer. Or go to the BRP website at http://epc.brp.com/default.aspx?brands=ej&lang=E and select OB Accessories when you get to the products drop-down list.
