Converting Mercarb 2bbl (5.7L) to Mercarb (3.7L)

My existing Mercarb 2 bbl on my 3.7l needs a choke plate and an electric choke, but otherwise works 4.0.

I saw a Quicksilver factory remanufactured Mercarb for a 5.7l on ebay for $100 starting bid. Saw that many parts were the same, particularly the gasket set. I put in a "what the heck" $100 bid and won the item.

What parts would I need to swap out to make this Mercarb 5.7l work on a 3.7l? Jets? Float valves? Floats? Or what?

My backup plan is just to scavenge some parts off the new carb to go on my old one.

Thanks

The manuals have some pretty good info on the carb specs. You could probably just print the two pages of specs and compare. I would expect that they are quite different. It would be helpful if you knew the year or S.N. from the one you bought off of eBay.

I would keep 3.7 carb and just rob the parts you need from flea-bay carb. 'nutcase
