but you know the guys in the yellow boat were bustin up laughing. we get at least 4 a year that get flipped in the breakers off oregon inlet. having been inside the breakers and been the guy in the bow it aint fun. we beach launch 21 ft net dories with 40 Hp tiller motors. the guy in the back tending nets doesnt get scared cause he dont get to see it coming. the key is to have enough power to hold the boat into the wave but not so much to drive up the wave. make speed in the wave troughs. and coming back to the beach is just the opposite <br /> if you time it wrong the wave coming behind you breaks on ya. if all is right you can surf it all the way to the tide line. yes I flipped my share trying to learn .
Was that a mariner outboard? if so I know where he went wrong. he should have bought an evinrude.........then he would be at home trying to fix the blooming thing!!
