I have in my 165 mecuiser 4 cylinder engine, so far I have checked all the hoses and had both the exhaust manifold and resisvor pressure tested for leaks and everything is fine. Could there possibly be a leak in the heat exchanger that is causing me to loose coolant or what could it be ?

Could be lots of things. Getting any coolant in your oil?

Pressure test your heat exchanger if the oil looks clean.

Then pressure check your block. These engines are notorious for having bad head gaskets.

Potential locations of leaks: cam seals, head gasket, manifold to riser gasket, heat exchanger or head gasket

With the engine running, check for coolant leaking out of the weep hole on the lower starboard side of the engine water pump.

Get a coolant system pressure tester from your FLAPS, drain the system and see if you can find your leak that way
