Hi,
I'm in the process of changing out engines in my 17-foot glastron run-
a-bout. At this time I would also like to change from seawater to fresh
water cooling. I have a cooler laying around that came off a
mercruiser Model MCM 470, 224 CID,170 hp. Will this cooler be big
enough or have enough capacity for my new 350 CID?

If this cooler will work what oter parts do I need to make the change?

If this cooler doesn't work, what type of fresh water kit do you
reccommend?
Thanks!

Re: Cooler suitability?

That cooler will be too small.

I find the folks (Clark and Kathy) at SeaKamp Engineering out of Bellingham Wa to be very friendly, knowledgeable and reliable. (360) 734-2788.

For an internet retailer, I would look to John Boatman at i-netmarine.com He knows his stuff when it comes to heat exchanger systems. (800) 680-2628. He sells full kits from San Juan as well as the SeaKamp line.
