Hi All,
I have a '91 mercruiser engine that was used for salt water. The mechanical properties of the engine seem to be in great shape after tearing everything down. There is some corrosion in the entryways of the cooling channels on the front of the block and on the heads, but not major.
I was wondering how elaborate the cooling channels are in this engine and how you can tell that after being flushed that everything is cleared out. It has been sitting for 5 years and I want to make sure it's thoroughly cleaned.
What's the best way to verify that it's free and clear? The heads are still on the engine.
