Hi, I have a 1995 Mercury 150 hp outboard that is running hot on the starboard side. I suspected the thermostat and when I took off the housing discovered that it was drilled out so basically no thermo was being used. I took off the hose that connects the two thermostat houses and when I tried to blow air through it I discovered it was blocked. I inspected the hose after cutting it open and noticed that the inner layer had collapsed and was blocking flow. The writing on the outside of the hose indicated it is a fuel hose. My question is, is this the right type of hose to use or do I need to find the correct water hose for this? See pictures, thanks!
